Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, yet symptoms are often misunderstood, dismissed, or missed entirely. At REVIVE, our mission is to change that through education, access, and community-centered conversations.
This February, we’re bringing together healthcare professionals, wellness advocates, and community partners for Chandri’s Heart Health Expo— a free, public event designed to meet people where they are and provide information that can truly save lives.
What Will Be Covered at the Expo
❤️ Understanding Heart Disease in Women
Women often experience heart disease differently than men. We’ll discuss common — and uncommon — warning signs, delayed diagnoses, and why advocacy matters.
🚨 Heart Attack & Stroke Warning Signs
Knowing when to act can make the difference. Attendees will learn what symptoms require immediate attention and how to respond.
🩺 Prevention & Lifestyle Factors
We’ll explore how stress, caregiving, grief, financial strain, nutrition, and access to care impact heart health — and what realistic prevention can look like.
🫀 CPR Awareness & Emergency Response
Early response saves lives. We’ll review why CPR matters and how bystanders play a critical role during cardiac emergencies.
🧘🏽 Holistic & Whole-Person Wellness
Heart health isn’t just physical. Conversations will include emotional health, stress management, and healing after loss.
🤝 Community Resources & Support
Attendees will connect with trusted organizations offering education, advocacy, and ongoing support beyond the event.
Why This Matters
Women — especially those from underserved communities — continue to experience higher risks and poorer outcomes related to heart disease. By combining medical insight, lived experience, and community collaboration, we aim to reduce disparities and empower individuals with knowledge.

The Importance of Heart Health Education
Heart health education is crucial for everyone, especially women. Many women do not recognize the symptoms of heart disease. This lack of awareness can lead to delayed treatment and worse outcomes. At the expo, we will provide vital information that can help change this narrative.
Engaging the Community
Engaging the community is essential for effective health education. By bringing together healthcare professionals and community members, we create a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences. This collaboration fosters a supportive environment where individuals can learn and grow.
The Role of Advocacy
Advocacy plays a significant role in improving heart health outcomes. By raising awareness and pushing for better healthcare policies, we can help ensure that women receive the care they need. Our expo aims to empower attendees to become advocates for their own health and the health of others.
Personal Stories and Experiences
Hearing personal stories can be powerful. At the expo, we will share testimonials from women who have faced heart disease. Their journeys can inspire and motivate others to take action regarding their heart health.
Building a Support Network
Creating a support network is vital for those affected by heart disease. The expo will connect attendees with local resources and organizations that can provide ongoing support. This network can be a lifeline for those navigating the challenges of heart disease.
Conclusion
Heart disease is a serious issue that affects many women. Through education, advocacy, and community support, we can make a difference. Join us at Chandri’s Heart Health Expo to learn more and take action for your heart health.
Together, we can change the narrative around heart disease in women. Let's empower ourselves and our communities with knowledge and support.
